How much CQuartz or Opti Coat do I need?
To do my Expedition? I had 15 ml of OptiCoat on my sons Yarus . Some was lost or wasted by the syringe! I am not a fan of that delivery system but dont know a better Tway to keep the air out of it! I figure I need at least two bottles or syringes. Thoughts?
TIA!

Jim, I would use the bigger bottle of CQ for that big beast. If you want to try OC on it, shoot some into a misting spray bottle and mist onto the applicator. I have yet to try that method myself, but it sure looks promising. I think Chris said he got the spray bottles at Walmart for like $2.

Good idea Richy; I have a few small mister bottles like that I picked up from a beauty shop supplier for $1.29 a piece, those might be good to try.

Look at my application methods in the video. The spray bottle is $0.50 from walmart in the travel sized toiletries section. 12-15 cc is a generous amount for an Expedition/Navigator. If you use more than that, you over applied it. The yaris should have been 6-8 cc max.

That is a great idea Rich! I wonder if I could do that with CQ also.

The cost would be negligible compared to the product saved!

I figured we over applied but he was right behind me with an Indigo and wiped the high spots. It looks great!! Very nice look and he is moving to NY State so the protection will be put to the test! Thanks Chris!

If you gonna get Cquartz, then it really depends on wheather you will be doing trim/wheels/glass? If so, you might need 50ml bottle...If it's just painwork and trim, 30ml should be sufficient...

Re: How much CQuartz or Opti Coat do I need?
I've coated my fiances Ford Fusion and all but the roof and front bumper area of my F150, plus an occasional test panel here and there which were polished off and re coated. The product is on the paint for sure, the sheeting says so and this is all I've used,
Thinking about coating my driveway or something ridiculous like that since I bought 2 syringes.
