Take a look below for yourself, this isn't super new. It's about 2 weeks old, im just wondering if it will ever be available in the USA. Looks like a solid machine, similar to the PC 7424 but seems much lighter and slimmer and better engineered. Definitely more powerful...

This is a rotary where as the PC is a DA.

I wonder how much that puppy costs and how long that digital readout lasts.

Oh, your right. Sorry i misread... Your right about it not being a DA. My apologies... Looks kinda neat, but it seems like a "Marketing scheme" because of the DODO name slapped on it. I would really LOVE to know how it performs...

In my personal opinion i think I would hate it. I love having the trigger on the machine. It helps me pick up beads and spread polish before I go full speed. That looked like it was 1000rpm or nothing. Id certainly try it if it were free though lol

looks like they weren't the first to do a digital display on a rotary...I would personally choose a makita over that thing any day of the week.

My brother just picked this up as his first polisher. first thing I thought was the spin doctor in a different color?

I have a Flex 3401 and a GG. But what is the advantage of the higher end rotaries over this one? It has an 8 amp motor and soft start and 1-3.5k rpm. Just curious on the facts as i have never used a rotory.

Power requirements are different, so I doubt it will be here anytime soon.

Well for one, the higher end rotaries are normally more reliable in the long run. Aside from that, the harbor freight rotaries bog down and don't keep a consistent speed while buffing which leads to loss of control making it harder to make the paint as perfect as possible. Another thing is the feel of the machine, a HF rotary feels loose and a bit sloppy at times, whereas a Makita for instance feels very sturdy and consistent even after hours of buffing at a time. The soft start on the rotary shown in the picture is more like a few slow spins then a rapid acceleration which slings everywhere when using a wool pad and something like powergloss. That Makita has a very easy to feather trigger which gives great control of the speed. The one thing that stands out with the Makita is the 600 rpm low setting. You have full control of how fast or slow you want to go and also how long it takes to get to the desired rpm.

Conclusion: Higher end rotaries are easier to control, more sturdy, and last longer.
