Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
My G9 just showed up. Initial impressions - feels good in the hands! Only had a chance to spin it up in the air, but seems like at normal working speeds it could be slightly quieter than the GG6. Wide open it’s on par. Speed dial is nice and easy to access.
5lbs even on the scale, the GG6 was 5.6.
Since they apparently expect me to get work done at work, I’ll have to check in later once I get a chance to throw a pad on it and put it on some paint.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
I received the G9 today. I like it very much, with the exception of one detail. I have large hands and wear 2XL size gloves. The handgrip around the buffing pad shroud (below the platypus head) is a bit too small to grip with my large hand. The lower fingers would go down too far near the pad. Maybe on the next iteration they can make the grip a bit larger.

I received my G9 Saturday and have about 8 hours on it. I ordered the 5” plate and pretty much stayed It. I compounded and polished a 2001 Lexus sedan. I like the G9 a lot, it’s not as tight feeling as a Rupes but at this price it’s amazing.
i agree the handgrip could be a bit bigger. I struggled with the trigger lock but I think I’ll get used to it. I love that it sits upside down, I’ve had a G6 roll off a bench and bend a shaft. The power cord connection is so stout that I found myself holding the power cord shroud like it’s part of the body. Power is great, rarely went above speed 5.
Polishing a 2016 Camaro today and may have some more thoughts. Overall very happy with it!
