Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
Hey. A much better deal than Ford gave to 2010 Mustang GT buyers when the 2011 base V6 had only 5 less horsepower... i think it's a great gesture.

I agree, I think fair and easy to accomplish.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
I just ordered a G9, I had a G6 that I got from Amazon less than a month ago, unopened, so I can send it back. However I have a 5" backing plate for a G6 and hope that it will fit. I ? assume it uses the same threads as the G6, PC, etc. I also would like to use the 3 inch backing plate but there is nothing written about this.
I will have to download the G9 manual.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
Sorry guys....
I processed the pictures for the El Camino I buffed out using this tool but typing out the words in a way that will have impact and endure takes time.
Will have it done tomorrow.
The short version is - this newest tool from Griot's is just like they say, it's powerful.
See what I say about it in my review tomorrow.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
Looking forward to the review. Thank you.
With a motor, as you would want in a car as well, you would like high torque at a low speed,
which should enable better polishing. From the specs it looks like this model has a nice motor and electronic controls.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
I wonder if it has the same carbon brushes as the GG6?

Looking forward to receiving it and timely to as I have my truck, my wife's car and our 5th wheel to do.
Yes I just called and they said the same thing, it's $100 out the door if you have the latest GG6 model and $135 if you have any older models.

Per Griots it will not fit the G9. The only one that will fit is the ventilated 5” backing plate.

Re: Griots New G9 Polisher
I guess if it’s $100 out the door it’s not bad. Because it seems to include shipping both ways and tax on that so it’s probably close enough to just avoid the hassle trying to sell your old one. Sort of screws Autogeek on that deal but hopefully the pads and etc will be purchased here
