Just wondering the thought process? If CMX or any coating is hydrophobic and sheds dirt, why cover it with a lesser performing product?

It’s fine if f you don’t mind losing the coating attributes (i.e. you prefer the look). Or you could go Fuzion Spray then CMX and see if that produces a look you want while maintaining coating characteristics (but at the expense of likely reducing durability of the CMX).
Pros and cons, either way.

Nope. Goes on more like a sealant. Spray on the microfiber, spread until it blends to nearly clear/slight haze. I do two panels at a time letting the first one cure for a few minutes then go back and wipe/buff it off. IMO it's more of an SiO2/TiO2 sealant than a true "coating" where the silica contents are suspended in a solvent that needs to flash.
Just finished up my son's Jeep. Will apply a second layer in the morning. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pics.

Potentially added gloss gloss and depth. I don’t think Fuzion spray wax would harm or remove the CMX coating.
I suppose it’s worth experimenting with.

Yeah I’ve used Wet Coat and was worried when it started looking like mold/slime was floating around in it but it did still preform well. I’m excited to give this a try.

Re: Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING
The CMX is impressive the water beading is great. Those that describe it as a sealant in application are spot on I like the slight haze it feels more substantial than any other topper. Worst case scenario for this product is it’s just sealant like in durability...best case it surpasses cancoat the incumbent. Mothers well done!
In speaking of mothers has anyone watched the Sweet project cars guy that polishes paint with only mothers wheel polish? He uses DeWalt rotary 3m 8inch cutting foam pad 1500 rpm.....I found that pretty interesting. There are people on this forum that would lose sleep over watching the video. If youguy watch video don’t crush him in comments to each his own!

This was my fear. I don’t know how CMX can do what it does and not harden in the bottle over time. I’ll have to look at my bottle tomorrow. Hopefully Forrest from Mother’s will let us know what to expect.
