How do I take care of new car leather interior?

I just bought a new Chevy Equinox with leather and I want to know what products if any to use to keep it looking great.

Just keep it clean. Most new leather has a clear coating that will protect it for years. If you don't have window tint then you may want to use a protectant with some UV protection.

McKees 37 just came out with a leather shampoo(for cleaning) and leather guard. Great products. Used both on my truck this morning and it makes the leather feel soft and smooth.

Frequent car care is easy car care.

By the way, nice ride. Is it an LTZ or Premier model? Chevrolet knocked it out of the park with the redesigned Equinox.

Just purchased a 2017 Challenger with black leather interior. Wiped down using Griots Garage interior cleaner and then used Pinnacle Black Label Leather & Vinyl Coating. Seems like it is the toughest for protection and keeping things clean. Pricey but a little bit goes a long way. So far everything I've used from the Black Label line has been amazing.

So why is it many say don't use anything but a damp towel on leather interior, but all the detailing companies push these leather cleaners and conditioners and say you need them to protect your leather and keep it new? Someone is wrong... who?
