    So what do the long throws OPM at? Cause everyone makes it sound like they correct better than a FLEX. But now smaller orbit is better? Im confused

    I think if it's gear driven forced rotation, that is equal to the larger throw as far as corrections. No forced rotation and short throw would be slower as far as corrections. What's the throw of the Makita?

    5.5mm in gear driven mode. Not sure how much in free spinning mode? Maybe Mike can chime in on that ...

    What is the part # for the Makita (OEM) backing plate? Is not OEM, is there one available from LC?

    I asked Makita about this. As of now, he BP is not sold separately.

    Thanks for asking! That really sucks though because I never buy a new polisher w/o a backup backing plate. Hopefully this can/will be available soon as it would be a show stopper for me otherwise. I never have "one" of anything - always like a second on hand as backup.
