I actually used it for the first time yesterday. Went on nice and even with a good finish. It's on a customer's car, so I don't know about longevity yet, I'll have to try it out on my test mule...

I'm not finding many discussions on the Black Satin Coating. Is this a forgotten product? I really like the idea of aerosol for ease of use and being able to get into sidewalls with a lot of grooves.

$10 for a can seems like a really good price point. Although the SUV tire above ^ looks a bit more shinier than satin to me?

This product hasn't dried for me. I've tried to use the lightest coats possible, but the spray really comes out quick and heavy.

Maybe it is the Griots Garage Black Shine Tire & Trim Coating that I have. I'll need to check, but they are both supposed to dry to the touch in 15-20 min.

I get the same thing on tires and trim pieces.

My experience with griots black satin in only from cleaning it off of customer's tires in which I'm sure the customers do not clean thoroughly between applications. but in my experience it builds up thick and is very difficult to remove. I tell any customer who uses the satin shine to throw it away.
