It goes a long way. I'm still trying to use up my 8 oz bottle which has coated my tires all of last year and my dad's twice last year. I refresh every 3 months or so. 4 months is pushing it as it starts flaking off.

I have using the new Griots Black Shine on my winter tires and I must say it looks pretty good and has been holding its own after washes.

I've been beta testing a new tire coating that's due out this spring that I'm sure is going to be very popular and yes, it's a brand sold here on AG.

In some cases you/we will never remove all the browning on a tire.

In reading the many suggestions, because I need a new tire gel myself (no thanks to Meguiar's discontinuing D163), it seems the coatings might NOT be a product for my business. ??? I'm sure the majority of my customers won't be reapplying, so I'm worried about the peeling and flaking.

Opti-Bond is fairly close to D163. It's not as shiny as D163. Adams VRT is another one that is similar to D163. Blackfire Total Eclipse is good too if you like the black tire look with not a lot of gloss. Perhaps you can upsell a tire coating to those that are interested in something longer lasting and offer a retouch up plan during a maintenance wash.

How come no one mentioned Turtle Wax Jet Black Endura-Shine Tire Coating?

Outlast PERL and Opti-bond by a long shot.
