    Saddle bag/seat question??

I am currently working on this Road Star:

The saddle bags are hard style which leads me to believe they are not true leather. The seat is a Mustang seat so I am thinking it is leather. Normally I have used 303 fabric guard for the leather seats and been done. I am out of 303 and I don't know what to use on the bags since they seem to be fake. I have PERL, Wolfgang interior and exterior trim sealants so I need a little help! No one locally has 303 fabric protect, I do have 303 protectant as well.

    Some teasers for the bike:

    Paint work almost done:

You've likely moved on at this point but I figured I'd chime in here on the Mustang seat in case you run across another one. They are not leather, Mustang uses a premium vinyl.

    Bike turned out great!

Mustang seats can be made in leather or vinyl. I prefer vinyl because it withstands weather better (like moisture). If your seat is leather or vinyl, you can use a product by 3M called Leather and Vinyl Restorer. Safe on both. You can use it on your bags as well. It probably has UV light protection. I am using it on all my upholstery now, although I am familiar with the 303 protectant and I use that too. You can find it at most reputable marine stores. It is used along with 3M products by boat owners to protect upholstery from sunlight damage.
Take it easy. There are no big deals in life.
