    Thanks.
Once you go apes, you'l never go back! My last bike I had mini apes, 12" on it and wished I woulda went bigger. This time I went w/ 16" and wihtin 30 minutes wished I'd opted for 18"! A few buds hate apes and i had them ride this and they wee amazed at how comfortable they are. Old Skewl man, Old Skewl. Going with huge metal flake paint (bass boat type flakes) with flames, ala 70's style carnival type rides look, should be killer.

Ya. I had a few HD's when I was younger, stopped riding fro about 10 years, said no way I'd ever get another...Well when the thought of another bike came up a few years back, actually really looked at the Noms (very nice), then ended up with a Sprty, one thing led to another....
My next plan, building a Bobber!

btw, how much is it to get your module tuned in properly? Fo rmy bike, luckily one of the best places in the Midwest happens ot be less than an hour away. I think they quoted me $220-$250 to completely custom program (map) it.
The shop that did mine charged me $225 to install and tune it. Very reasonable if you ask me!! I was not happy with the performance when I added the intake and exhaust mods. The PSC1 made all the difference!!!

that's one thing my gixxer can't do.... set off car alarms like a cruiser could. The engine just doesn't make the same kind of noise.

it's like comparing a v8 and a 4 cylinder. the v8 has that deep low rumble, while the 4 banger has a higher pitched "tuner" sound to it.

    Ape hangers

GearHead asked about Apes on a bagger. Well the simple answer is that APES ARE COOL!!! That is the first thing that I do when I get a bike, install ape hangers. I rode a Wide Glide with 22" ape hangers from the east coast of N. C. to Sturgis, S. D. three times. They really are comfortable, well after 4 days of 550 miles a day you do need some tricepts to hold your arms up. Very little pain for so much attitude. Harleyboy
Oh yea, I balled that Wide Glide up in Ark. on my way home in 2002 and this is my new bike. 2003 Firefighter Special Edition Road King. 16" apes and not tall enough.
