    Brand New Red Goldwing

    Hey Guys -

First post here and am looking for help / suggestions. Just got a Red 2012 Goldwing and it will be parked in the garage until spring. I want to take the time to protect it now and have done so with "The Original Spray Clearer Bike Spirits". I kow this dosn't last long so what do you suggest?

I want to keep the shine and protect the paint which is amazing.

    Thanks
    Dave

I would go with a coating before it gets swirled up. Would make it easier to de-bug and clean after a road trip.Maybe Opti-Coat or one of the other permanent or semi-permanent coatings would do.

Welcome! Some one with more smarts than me will chime in, but I would reccomend a good sealant followed by a sacrificial carnuba wax.

Thanks for the replys.. I should add that I am a novice with sealents and about the craziest thing I have done is Clay bar followed by some off the shelf waxes from wally world. Looked at Opti-Coat and it scares me because the opportunity to screw it up seems huge for a novice.

Many of the Gold Wing "old-timers" (EX: My Father-in-law) swear by:
Pledge, The Original Spray Cleaner Polish, and Novus/Plexus...

    I say:
    Give S100 products a try.
Along with Simichrome for the bright-work.
    Novus/Plexus is fine for 'plastics'...IMO.
