    Vinyl Seat

I recently got a 2007 ninja that has some spotting and fading on the seat, I know the golden rule about not using anything that will make the seat slippery, but what can I use that will bring back the black, keep it soft, protect it and NOT make it slick?

Meguiar's produces a line specifically for motorcycles you may want to consider. Their leather cleaner/conditioner (MC203) should give you the desired results. Depending on how weather-worn the seat is, you may want to consider multiple applications to bring it back to looking its best. It is a cream based product so make sure you have a few applicator pads to apply it.

    Re: Vinyl Seat

I always hesitate to use leather products on vinyl, the UV prot probably works fine, but leather and vinyl need different "conditioners" don't they? Have you used the stuff? I've already been told that Meg's #40 is out, how about something for boats like the Klasse C/P? or maybe good old 303 will at least keep it from getting worse, will my 303 the Klasse make it slick?

The slickness comes from the silicone in the product. Try VLR from mothers, it works really well on vinyl and it's not greasy or slick at all, dries to a matte finish.

    Re: Vinyl Seat

I would not use Klasse C/P, I have found this product to be too oily, I would avoid 303 as well. Whatever you choose, you may want to test a small area to ensure you are happy with the results before applying to the whole seat.

    Re: Vinyl Seat

Just use a good Professional Vinyl cleaner.
and you can recolor the vinyl with SEM sure coat and a foam brush.
get the color code for your car and order the factory color.
if it's not a factory color you can look at all of SEMs color charts and try to find a match. failing that, find a vinyl repair person with a spectromimer. they can get any SEM color formula and mix it for you.

    Re: Vinyl Seat

I use 303 protectant regularly on my Yamaha seat. Its not the most aggressive cleaner but for my application works well and offers nice protection. I wipe it on then buff it a little with a dry MF towel and that pretty much ensures its not to slick.
