    Help w/ product

    I ordered this http://www.autogeek.net/fl1506.html
My rationale was/is, I want soemthing to spray on and wipe off easily in between big details on my Harley. Cleanign power is not neccessary, even though thsi one has it. I basically want soemthing to spray on after a simple wash, to help protect all the chrome for a little while, as applying polish, sealers, or waxes for that matter on a bike is a looooong process with all the nooks and crannies. This seemed like the answer! After ordering, I read closer..."not for us eon exhaust pipes" Yikes! I ask why? I contacted the company and they weren't sure about that, that is shoudl be able to be used on pipes. I can onyl assume, AG staff knows something about it that why is should not be used on pipes.
Has anyone used this product? Any other products I might inquire about that woudl be a good and quick spray on protector? Pipes are no biggie, they are easy enough to put some sealer on or what not.

Flitz makes some nice products. I suspect the reason the manufacturer suggests staying away from the pipes, is in case they are uncoated high polished aluminum. (like my wheels). They make special cleaners for it, as most chrome products are much more hardy and can stain/etch uncoated aluminum if used improperly.

I asked them, they said its not on the label and weren't sure, they are contacting AG to see if AG knows something more about it than they do!

But your theory makes total sense too. Should be a cool product if it works fairly well, I'll report on it next week after trying it out, if it does work...save lots of biker time!

i just read the little blurb on it, it says not to use it on hot exhaust pipes, i assume that if you let them cool first it wont be a problem, i know on my dads yamaha one time he cleaned his bike just after he had been out riding all day and the pipes got discolored, i think it has to do with the quick temp change if you use cold water or the like. make sense to anyone else?
