New car application / maintenance of application

    New member / First post
Just found this forum and wish to thank all for the great info. Just purchased a new CRV and decided to apply Mekees products for the initial detail. First washed, then iron remover, then wash again, clay bar entire car, washed and applied coating prep followed up with hi def sealant. WOW. Unbelievable results, extremely pleased.

Now for the question, when initial application begins to reach lifespan, do I just reprep with coating and reapply hi def or just apply the hi def? I recognize that this also needs to account for possibly any paint contamination that may occur. What would be recommended? I’ve searched but can find no info for follow up application.

Congrats on the new CR-V! The "family car" in my household is a 2017 CR-V and we LOVE IT!

For best results, re-do the complete process (wash, iron, clay, prep polish, etc) twice a year. You can get away with once a year if the vehicle is garage kept. Using a quality wash (ie: McKee's 37 Power Wash) and spray wax (McKee's 37 FAST Wax) as part of your maintenance routine will also significantly extend the gloss, slickness, and longevity of the sealant.

    Nick,

What if you did it every 6 months and the car was garaged, would you just naturally do a good wash and reapply the sealant?

    Thanks
