Drying aid after applying Hydro Blue Sio2 coating.....

I was just wondering if you can use a drying aid after applying Hydro Blue. I wasn't sure if there was a cure time with it or any other Sio2 spray. Wasn't sure if it could be removed or thinned out using something after it's initial application?

I always have using either a Rinseless Wash product in QD strength or a QD itself like Kenotech. I haven't noticed any issues.

Do you mean right after spraying and rinsing the Hydro Blue what do you do with the remaining droplets?

Or do you mean the next wash cycle what do you do?

I typically just leaf blow the remaining droplets and just use a MF towel to pick up the handful. If you need lubrication, use n914.

If your looking to maintain it, try their EXTENDER SPRAY WAX. Use it as a drying aid or on a dry vehicle. Protection and looks are outstanding.

Yep, right after a wash. I wasn't sure if the water cured it as soon as it spread it out onto the panel or it took 12 hours or so.

I emailed Nick about it using Aquawax as a drying aid and he said not to use a wax based spray due to it would change the hydrophobic abilities of the Sio2 spray.

Have you used it with no issue?

Hydro Blue does not need a drying aid. It is a drying aid. Spray it on per instructions, spread and rinse with pressure, then it just blows right off or dry with a really good drying microfiber towel.

    I love the stuff!

IMO if you have a quality drying mf towel it's not needed to be useing a drying aid. But if it's what you want to do I second the use of either the McKees 37 N-914 rinseless wash in QD dilution or a weak QD dilution of Carpro EcH2O. These will not interfear with the Hydro Blue behavior.

Terrible drying aid, IMO. No slickness at all to prevent towel marring. I do, however, use 914 as a clay lube or waterless wash when marring is not a concern. I like how it leaves nothing behind.
