Once wheels coated, ok to use wheel cleaner gel?

Perhaps dumb questions - I'm concerned the wheel cleaner gel may start breaking down the wheel coating quicker than needed. Once coated should I just stick with mild soap? Or is wheel cleaner gel safe on the coating?

    Thanks

Re: Once wheels coated, ok to use wheel cleaner gel?

    Welcome to the forum.

Using a non-acid wheel cleaner is fine. But for me ever since I coated my wheels all I really need is soap and water. I do chemically decontaminate a few times a year with an iron remover.

Perfect answer, that’s exactly what i was thinking. I’ve been very happy with the McKee’s paint coating and excited to try the wheel coating. Thanks for your help!

Soap is all that's needed unless you let it go for a long time.
