    Probably would help a lot.

I put items like these in quality sandwich baggies and squeeze as much air out as I can (more cost effective but probably not as good storage as vacuum bags)

I have some v2 I got on 9/2/17. Still seems liquidy. Guess I need to hurry up and use it.

Yes, I would use it up. I just checked mine and it's toast. I had no idea there was a limited shelf life. They should add that to the label.

    Friends,

V2 does have a shorter shelf life than V1, that's for sure. The reason why is because the amount of solids in the updated (V2) formula.

When I say solids, I'm referring to the concentration of SiO2 nano glass particles. Everyone wanted a longer lasting coating (up to 3 years, which is conservative), so I gave you one!

Pound for pound, McKee's 37 Paint Coating is still the best bang for your buck in the coating world, even if you're only able to get 2 applications from one bottle before it "expires."

With that being said, I will gladly replace any expired product if that's what it takes to keep your business. All you have to do is send me an email.

This is why I’ve been so hesitant on opening my bottle of McKee’s Headlight Coating. I fear that I’ll use it once and come back to a bottle of hardened product.

Look, it even has cobwebs from sitting on my shelf for so long! Lol.

I’m finally going to open it soon to coat my own headlights. I feel like I need to go on a headlight restoring binge as soon as I open the bottle, that way I get my money’s worth out of it.McKee's 37 Paint Coating v1 and v2 shelf life concern?

Same with me. Parents are in town this weekend. There vehicle and both mine are slated for November, after that, no headlights left... but I’m hopeful as my wheel and glass coating bottles bought in fall 2017 are still going strong (used yesterday for confirmation).

I too have lost half a bottle a while ago...being an "enthusiast", and not a "pro", I have coated the cars in my family, and wanted to keep this precious liquid as long as possible, so I transferred them into fleabay squeeze bottles (that also helps with applying, since I don't have a garage, and the spray would just go everywhere when applying).

Saran wrap over the eye dropper, and refrigerated.

I ve been thinking about the drop bottle thing as well. you may want to change to a black/dark bottle or cover with foil for long term storage. The UV can always damage chemicals from time to time.
