Re: Video: Hydro Blue Application Guide (Updated Summer 2018)

Great video Nick !!! This show the proper "non over usage" and should cut down on the complaints about streaking. I have used this product since it's release and I have never had an issue with streaks. Less is more !!!! I love it so much I just bought a gallon

Totally agree Pat! This stuff is legitimate. I have a gallon on my shelf as well for the moments when it's needed

so it is fair to say though, generally this product should only be used when tackling the whole car or an isolated spot like the wheels? That was kind of my point about overspray. For example, not a good solution if you just wanted to coat your headlights? I'd imagine it'd spray all over the hood and wouldn't be even?

I love this product on my wheels, it's held up well. Just realizing i probably used too much.

Video: Hydro Blue Application Guide (Updated Summer 2018)

Nick do you recommend a maintenance product for this or any thoughts on developing a specific SIO2 spray detailer would love a product that could spray on and wipe off.

Their spray on wipe off is called 10 minute paint sealant. Works well as a topper for their coating, so does Hydro Blue. HB is much easier to apply though.

I’m interested in a topper/ maintenance spray specific for hydro blue. I feel like putting 10 min paint on top of HB would be putting the longer lasting product on top of the shorter term product.

I don’t think you need to top hydro blue. That is the topper for either their paint coating or 10 MPS. If you only use hydro blue then just do that and apply a little more often.

I agree with Bruno. 10 minute paint sealant, then hydro blue. You can use hb every wash, if you want. Light spray, lots of water pressure. That is what pushes the product around. I've been thru close to 2gallons of hb, and love it

I get that this is water activated. But if you spray hairy-nairy and then hose off, I don't see how you are getting the full surface on these panels?
