    Hello from Connecticut

    Hello all!

I am a beginner in the art of auto detailing although I have always been particular about my vehicles. I am thrilled to have found a place to read, learn from, and ask questions. I look forward to checking out the forums and making my best better.

If anyone can help me explain to my wife why the local "touchless" car wash is evil, I would greatly appreciate the advice.

    Welcome to the forum.

If I understand it correctly, the touch less car washes use a strong soap. Not only to make sure that your vehicle gets clean but while doing so the the wax slowly gets stripped off.

Much like ya wouldn't want to put a strong detergent in the family's washing machine while washing the clothes and have the colors fade........
