    Hello from the Netherlands

    Hi all,

Before I introduce my car, I would just like to say that this forum is AMAZING! So much information that my head wants to explode ;). Every time I read a new thread I'm bookmarking more and more detailing products for future purchases... We will see how well my budget is going to cope with this :).

About three months ago I have become a proud owner of a Suzuki Swift 1.2 Exclusive 2012 in Pearl White. I know, you might think this is a small car, nothing flashy, just the average but this is my first car, I love it and I'm going to pamper it a little bit too.

I had not realized until a couple of weeks ago (excuse me for being maybe a little bit of an ignorant woman in this subject) that the detailing world is so huge and that the amount of products available for cars is just insane. After initial panic ;), I have decided to do my research, educate myself, pick the right (for me and my budget) products and go through with my first (not complete yet) detailing procedure ever.

I have started with a good wash, clay, Autoglym SRP, and Autoglym EGP. Windows cleaned with Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner and topped with Rain X. Only this took me almost seven hours. Not sure if it's due to the fact of being a newbie or the combination of the latter with me being pedantic... Wheels got only a regular wash as I'm still missing a proper products to treat them. Soon, I hope, I will fix this. And now after reading so many things about the Collinite 845 I just must have it and put it on top of the sealant to see the effect.

I have to admit, detailing your own car gives a lot of pleasure and satisfaction, especially when you see the final (great) effect. Did I mention that I'm hooked to it now :)?

Here are two pictures. The first one was taken on the car pick up day, the second one yesterday after detailing the car. Don't you agree that it looks better now than when I was picking it up from a Suzuki dealer?
