Hello from sunny CA
Long time car buff but new to buffing.
Everything I know about detailing, which isn't much, I learned in the 70's and 80's from dealership detailers. (I was a mechanic for 25 years at a high end dealership.) Big 10-inch rotary buffers, wool pads, and magic brown sauces in sqeeze bottles, all wielded by under-paid masters of their craft. Wow, have things ever changed in the last 20 years!
Anyway, after abusing my last car's finish for 8 years, I traded it in on a shiny new cayenne red Altima. Unfortunately, it came with the dreaded DISO as well as lots of scratching and marring. Rather than risk taking it back to the dealer that caused the problem in the first place, I started surfing the web for a DIY solution and ended up here.
Before tackling the Altima, I've been practicing on family members abused cars using techniques and advice from this forum. I'm amazed at the results so far.
I guess that's about it. Looking forward to learning as much as I can from the experts here and hopefully will have some spectacular Altima photos to upload in a few months. lol

I take it that you are at Southern CA. We haven't seen the sun up in Northern CA in weeks.

Actually, Sacramento. The sun peeks out every now and then. :-)
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. No preferred products yet. The selection here is too overwhelming. First order will just be some ccs pads for my 7424xp.
