Re: New Member Information
Howdy!
I have made a few post to the site befor writing my introduction. I found AG through the wonderfull world of you tube and google searches for polishing equipment. for a few years I have wanted to find out how to get pro stuff but untill the web it seemed like a trade secrete. I ordered Mike Phillips E-Book and am thinking of a few others.
Right now my goals are simple. I want to make my 3 daily drivers look great. In the works are a repaint of my 2005 Triumph Bonneville America and after that, our 1973 Super Beatle.
Now since reading all this info, I realize I have not been using cleaning wax totally right for what it can do. I have my starter budget set and thanks to the reviews on certain products, I think I can get started in a paycheck or two.
I have painted military aircraft and support equipment during my time as a US Navy metalsmith. I have a few paint and insignia schools under my belt and some composite certs. I know cars and auto paint /finish and detail are very different, but I am confident in my ability to make paint look great.
I have added some pics to my profile of my first paint job of a old Kawisaki KZ Police bike. From B&W to Anodized red over silver flake. I did all the sanding by hand. Wish I knew about the DA buffers then! Also a nic shot of my Triumph. Ill be sure to do befor and after pics of all my projects. Great site!
