Hey guys! Veteran Detailer, autogeek newb

Hey, just thought I would introduce myself to the Auto Geek community.

My name is Mike Gibson (pretty obvious handle), and I have been detailing for about 10 years, 6 years professionally.

I own and operate a small mobile detailing business in central Illinois, and am working on building a good client base to open up a shop. I currently average 8-12 details per week and am soon going to launch my website I have been working on.

I have always worked at dealerships, and have extensive knowledge and use of products from Car Brite, Malco, and PRO Car Beauty. Now, I am looking for some cheaper cleaning alternatives. My detailing buddies call me the "Dollar Store Detailer". I try and find the most cost effective way to detail, and a lot of times I do purchase cleaning supplies at the dollar store.

Don't get me wrong, I don't stiff people with cheap product! My waxes, sealants, and dressings/protectants are all great products, but I have found that some dollar store all-pupose cleaners, degreasers, carpet scrub brushes, and wash buckets work just as well as any others I have used!

Give me a holler if you have any questions about cheap cleaning alternatives, or any products from Car Brite, Malco, or PRO Car Beauty. I don't use too many of their products anymore, but the ones I do still use I prefer to some products I find anywhere else.

    So once again, Hi!

    Thanks,
    ~MikeGibson

P.S. I want that autogeek detailers bag. I just wish it was big enough to fit my rotary and my pads, but I do like the pockets on the side for applicator bottles... good idea!
