    Hello - Newbie From NH

Hey Everyone - I'm new to this auto detailing stuff and will probably have lots of questions along the way.

I was looking at getting the exterior of my two vehicles detailed and decided to purchase the products for myself and try and tackle the project. I purchased the "FLEX XC3401 VRG Dual Action 6.5 inch Pad Kit" from AG last night along with all Meguair's products (mild clay, 21, 34, 40, 80, 105, 205, NXT all metal, ultimate compound, and a few other things) and hope this will lead to some good results. I'm just interesting in doing my own vehicles at the moment.

After much reading I decided on the above items to have a good arsenal of products to tackle whatever stood in my way. I'll start with the "least aggressive" way to get things done and see where it goes from there. What constitutes as the "least aggressive" I'm not quite sure but I'm sure that after more reading on these forums I should be able to figure that out.

Is there any other pad(s) out there that are a "must have"? I got what came in the kit and a second of the pads that only had 1 in the kit and that's it.

Thanks everyone!! Can't wait to get the packages and try things out.

What the average time it takes a weekend warrior to detail the exterior of a vehicle? Say 1 truck (2500 series) & a 4 door sedan doing the whole clay bar, 105, 205, and wax method?

Welcome to the AG Forums. Nice to see a NE Member.

Doing a full Monty to the truck I would plan on at least 12 hours total taking two days.

Looks like you have the right combination of tools and product to make your vehicles look outstanding.

Be sure to take pics and post.

Lakes Region - Been in this area my entire life and enjoy what it has to offer. Beautiful lakes for fun in the summer and enough snow for snowmobiling in the winter.
