Burnt leather seats
2019 Nissan Pathfinder 13K miles, help its like new, and this is my first forum. I have a strange issue with my leather seats and I wanted to see if anyone had ideas on a repair. I left my reading glasses hanging from the mirror and the sun shined through them and melted both front seats. I want to know if there is a repair that can be done before the leather rips and there is a real problem. I am so furious at myself that it is not funny. Thanks everyone in advance

WOW! That is a first. Shame too. Look up a vinyl repair shop in your area. Or ask the dealer who they use for such a repair. Good luck.

Re: Burnt leather seats
Hope you fix it soon. I can just imagine how hot was it for your glasses to melt inside the car.

That's crazy! I would contact an Automotive Upholstery Shop and see what it takes to repair those panels on the seats. You could also order a set of custom seat covers for the two front seats. RuffTuff offers some nice materials.
Good luck!

Glasses are basically magnifying glasses. It doesnt have to be HOT for them to burn with sunlight shining through them. Havent you ever taken a magnifying glass and burnt bugs? Its not a temperature thing its a light thing.

Yes, a lot also depends on the dioptres of the glasses. The author of the topic probably has glasses with high correction.
