    New to the group

Hi I'm WVHEMIS and I wanted to give a shout out. I am interested in all of the tips and tricks I can pick up from the group here. I have a 36' SeaRay Sundancer and three cars all HEMI's LOL so looking for all the help I can get.

    Re: New to the group

Here's my suggestion after a few years of answering questions on discussion forums.....

Always write a good title that tells people WHAT you want help with - use just a few words like,

Tools needed to remove oxidation on my boat?

    Never do this,

    Help!

    See my article here,

How to write a good title for your thread

    And this is helpful too.....

A tip to help yourself get great answers when you start a thread

And of course, hit the [ENTER] key once in a while and break up HUGE CHUNKS of TEXT into smaller bite-size sections to read.

People simply won't read huge chunks of text - its' too hard for they eyeballs to track from the end of once sentence to the beginning of the next sentence after about 3-4 sentences.

When new members post threads that have HUGE chunks of text, I'll go in and EDIT their post and break-it up just so I CAN READ IT.

Reasonably good grammar always helps too. Sometimes when reading these forums I have to shake my head because I can’t figure out what the person is saying because his grammar is so poor.

Proofreading and spell checking your post does wonders!
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.
