It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: New from Ohio
thanks. I have had it for almost 2 years now. I bought it mainly due to the rag top. It was the last year they made it before they switched over to the hard sliding moon roof. I wanted one that had no rust, and body needed no painting. (let someone else deal with that ). I rebuilt the engine, and replaced the mechanical parts all the way around the car (brakes, lines, etc). Mechanical parts I can deal with. But the auto body stuff, NO THANKS. Too much money to do it myself.
I'm proud of this car, even though I didn't do the majority of the work. I don't drive it in the rain, or snow. I'll drive it in the winter as long as there is no salt on the roads. I certainly baby it. Never break 55 mph either, UNLESS, I'm going down hill.
Griot's garage detailing accessories are my best friend on show day

Re: New from Ohio
Welcome to the club. I'm in NW Columbus but make it down to Dayton Cars and Coffee a couple times per year.

Re: New from Ohio
ya, I've heard about that before.
I don't take mine any more than 30 miles from the house. Would it make it? Possibly, but I don't push it.
There's a VW/Porsche/Audi car show tomorrow at Germania Society in Hamilton. I'll be going to that. That pulls a lot of VW's out of the woodwork. Busses, Things, Beetles, etc. Pretty cool

It's not a standard solid color.
It's like a burnt orange.
One of my favorite colors.
