New Guy here from well, my name gives that away :)

Hello. My name is Scott and I think I'm a new addict. If not an addict, at least newly obsessed as all my youtube stream show detailing videos now.

I've been into cars my whole life, and loved to clean/care for them but never really wanted to do anything further than a simple wash and wax. I left the polishing etc to others.

Now, I read about it, watch videos, and have bought a handful of new toys to do it myself. I see other cars and think, "I'd love a crack at fixing that paint." There's a loaner car in my garage now that I'm having to resist trying to take some swirls out of its hood just for fun. lol
I'm considering asking my neighbors if they'd like me to detail their cars on the weekends. I could make a few dollars, but in reality my goal would be to break even on materials so I can feed my new obsession as well as improve my abilities.
It's a cathartic exercise sort of like, but better than, I feel when cleaning my guns. (Yes, I'm from Texas)

Anyway, current cars are white, but added a dark blue car which has added fuel to the detailing, paint correction, fire.
My wife's white car is easy to keep looking nice, but man oh man, does she get wheel rash which I can't fix. Fortunately I bought this "wheel package" that fixes them for 'free' as needed. It's paid for itself easily thus far.
    Blue car below.

I'm highly considering that. Do we work on our own cars or body panels?

Thanks Kirby, I appreciate the recommendation and I truly appreciate that after attending the Roadshow class at Griot's Garage in Tacoma, Washington you then signed up for and attended my 3-day class here at Autogeek.

Doing simple math, that's about $2,600.00 you invested in JUST the classes. That does not include your,

    1. Travel costs - airline tickets
    2. Hotel costs
    3. Meals on the road
    4. Whatever you spent on detailing supplies after the classes

So THANK YOU for your trust in my name and I hope I did not let you down in any aspect.

I'm the ONLY guy that I know of that teaches classes and also shares pictures of the people that attend these classes on a forum. At least I can't find but a few pictures for anyone else that claims to be an Instructor. And the majority of the pictures I share are of people on their feet detailing cars. Not sitting in chairs or standing and watching the Instructor doing a demo on a hood.

It takes a TON of time to make a picture on a camera magically show up on a forum. A monkey can be trained to make a picture show up on Facebook, it's not even the same level of time and work. That said, here's a VERY GOOD example of what a Mike Phillips Roadshow Car Detailing Class looks like.

    323 Pictures - Autogeek's Hands-On Roadshow Detailing Classes!

And all my classes look like the above.

And every topic is covered hands-on - here's just a few from the above write-up.

I challenge anyone to find more pictures of people on their feet using tools at any other class on Planet Earth.
