Wassup!?

I've been around for a while, but new here. I've probably done everything wrong you could do to paint. Now I want to learn how to care for it and restore my 98 Lexus GS400 with 303k miles. The paint is exposed 24/7 to the elements, the car sees around 80 miles a day minimum. And from near 100F in the summer to -20F in the winter on occasion. Its survived 4 kids bumping into it with handle bars of bikes, plastic trash cans pushing by, etc.

Its still is pretty decent, but some rust is creeping in that is hopefully going to get dealt with soon. But I still want to get the paint as good as I can.

I need a DA polisher and lots of stuff to get me started.

Any tips and advice getting started is very welcome!
