What's up?!
Hi everyone,
Just popping in to introduce myself. From Texas.
My current daily driver is a dark gray 2010 Toyota Tundra SR5 CrewMax. It has lots of door dings, but otherwise is great condition. I'm looking to do a full detail on it, but I have been out of the detailing circles for quite some time. I used to be a Zaino Bros guy as I loved the results is gave on my black 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.
So, now, I'd like to do a full ceramic coating job on my truck to get that shine and deep clarity that I used to get with Zaino Bros. products. There's a LOT of surface area, so I suspect that the process will take the entire weekend.
Once I have it down, I'll do the same to my wife's Pearl White Buick Enclave.
By then, I should have the process down that, when I get my new Audi R8 from the dealership, I shouldn't have any problems.
Well, time to go ask some questions and start educating myself.

Thanks DetailKitty.
Just reading some of the How to Articles from this forum. I have ClayBar'ed many times using Zaino Bros products. Looking at picking up the Meguiar's Clay Bar kit now and some Microfiber Cloths. The Zaino's cloths are $25 for 3 clothes and my big truck needs more than that. Not sure which brand or quality to go with. I shall keep reading.
Too much to choose from here: Car Care Microfiber Towels, Microfiber dusters and microfiber Detailing tools

If you want to save time, I HIGHLY recommend nankin products vs clay bar.
Nanoskin Car Care Products, nanoskin autoscrub system
I do like some high quality microfibers found here, but when buying in bulk, I often get a batch from Amazon.

Welcome. What products/machines do you currently have in your inventory?

I also understand how much real estate is on a Tundra. I have a 2010 as well.

I have a bunch of old Zaino Bros stuff. Some of their stitchless towels, bucket, maybe even one of their clay bars, wash, etc. I have a lot to acquire and a lot to learn, but I love learning more and have plenty of elbow grease to go around.

Nice ride brother! Is that the metallic gray? I see that you de-badged it too. Looks good.

It’s actually Pyrite Mica. Like a bronze/brown. Have you ever worked with a coating before? Only reason I ask is some have a steeper learning curve than others.

I haven't, but I'm willing to learn. That's why I want to do my truck and my wife's car before getting the R8. I need to perfect the process.
I like the idea of using the Nanoskin instead of Clay bar, but not sure what to do after that.
