    Video: Buff Brite Flamethrower professional LED polishing light!

    Hi guys,

    In this video, I present a cool gadget from the guys at Buff Brite. It's their Flamethrower professional LED polishing light. I discovered it while I was at the SEMA show in Las Vegas and I promised my viewers I'd cover cool new gadgets and products that I saw there. I met with Tom, the owner and inventor of this patent pending polishing light and I like to see people finding solutions to common problems in the detailing industry. Tom has been detailing and polishing for almost 4 decades so he has quite the experience.

    As we all know, lighting is very important during paint correction, and this light uses 6 cross-cut CRE LEDs to shine light on the surface while you're polishing. It attaches directly to any polisher you guys have and makes finding swirls and scratches a lot more easily especially if you don't have optimal lighting in your garage or detailing studio.

    Check out the video here:

    Re: Video: Buff Brite Flamethrower professional LED polishing light!

    I just purchased a Buff Brite Flamethrower II. This version 2 has many new design features.

    The initial hub screw has a screw-threaded sleeve that is on top of the main hub screw.
    This eliminates the need for multiple sized screws to accommodate the many different machines.

    Here are the parts that come in the kit.

    * Connector arm
    * The Flamethrower LED light
    * Hub to connect to the machine
    * USB charging cable
    * 1 small cap for the hub
    * 1 large-cap for the end of the light.

    I like the fact you can use a single light on the side or put it right in front of the machine head.

    In my case, I put one on each side extending outward.

    I also purchased a kit to mount it to my Rupes Nano iBrid.

    This pic shows the small-cap cover on the hub quick disconnect

    Pros:
    I like that when it's not in use, or the need to get in close, it pops off and is out of the way in seconds.
    I like the ability to light up the area where I am working, and get up close and personal with a light.
    My initial thought was it may in the way, but after adjusting to my personal "sweet spot" it's fine.
    Wanna get in a tight spot like under a mirror? The arm with the light pops off just one second.

    Cons:
    No light (even this one) can see through a compound without having to wipe it off.

    ________________

    In my case, I purchased a few extra connecting hubs and attached them to some other machines.
    With the hubs attached on the different machines, I can pop the arm off, and then onto another machine.

    I'll keep you updated when I get a few miles under my belt with them, but so far I like 'em!
    It appears to be a great way to put good light up close where you need it when you need it.
