Given the water behavior I've seen in my limited experience with BM, its be a step backwards with regards to performance.

Yeah, HydroBlue is going to bead better than Bedmaker for sure, not sure about Kenotek although it's a great product too, more than a QD.

Just thinking out loud here, how did Beadmaker get its name? I mean it beads but nothing crazy, should've been called Gloss MakerVideo: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.

I think someone on sister site mighta mentioned "Slick n Shine" as a more apt description cuz it does both of those, most notably the slick part. The beads themselves are somewhat average.

I just finished coating a vehicle today and with that particular coating product, Beadmaker woulda come in a distant 2nd in gloss as well.

It's (Beadmaker) a quick hit that's fun and economical to use though, I'll give it that although I'd stop short of the exuberance that it seems to elicit in some.

To each their own, however. Wonder if it can maintain the meteoric rise to it's current popularity levels?

I think it should be called “S&S—-Slick and Shiny”
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Re: Video: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.

For me Bead Maker is perfect. I want the gloss and the extra slickness, and I am not concerned about durability because I wash and reapply Bead Maker every week.Yesterday day in 20 degree weather I did a rinseless wash with ECHO2 and then used bead maker with no issues. This morning my car was glossier than yesterday. I do feel the Bead maker makes the car easier to keep clean. I like gloss and Bead maker is perfect for me. I also line Sonax spray& seal and Hydro blue, but Bead Maker to me looks better.

Dogma, Beadmaker is glossier and more slick than those products because those are its strong points, the other products emphasize durability and looks next. Like you said Beadmaker is perfect for your needs, perfect. As long as people fully understand that Beadmaker ISN'T about durability it's all good, 1 month max seems to be the rule of thumb.

I can't wait to use Beadmaker when it gets warmer...heVideo: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.Video: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time., I can't wait for it get warmer.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the 1:1 ratio of Beadmaker/Sonax BSD does on my car. Will it maintain the glossy looks of Beadmaker and add more durability from the BSD or will they work against each otherVideo: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.
