How to build an awesome mobile rig.

I toyed around with buying skid mounted equipment or even looked at a rightlook trailer. You can build your own for less than half. I started with a custom build 6x10 trailer. I probably could have done a 5x8 but I utilized the extra space for a work bench. Drove 2 hours to GA to the factory to pick this up. First thing I did was install the rims I bought for it. I run tornador tools, pneumatic tools, so I opted for a gas powered compressor. 13.7 cfm. Never runs out of air. Picked up a great generator, electric start, on Amazon. Great deal. Powers my vx5000 steamer no problem. That steamer trips almost every home breaker in every customers house I plug it into so that's saying something.

This is almost 500lbs full and my trailer is single axle and has other equipment. Got to keep the weight down. I installed a automatic shut off valve in the tank. A bypass feed from the pump to the tank. Inline filter from tank to pump, and installed a separate hose to fill up buckets or have running water.

    More soon.

I built this shelf out of poplar and 2x4s then used spray on BEDLINER for the coating. This holds my air hose and pressure washer hose reels.

I built another shelf and painted it blue. How to build an awesome mobile rig.-imageuploadedbyagonline1448248196-372993-jpg lastly I decided to built a bench that goes over the water tank. Got to make use of vertical space.

At this point I still needed more storage space. Stuff was sliding all over the place. So another shelf it was!

I decided to extend the drain valve and lines on the compressor and install a water separator. Put some clamps on some hose fittings and hung my Autogeek banner. That looks awesome. Might want to consider pointing the exhausts out of the back of the trailer.

All the equipment is at the back door. All exhaust ports point away from walls or towards the back. There's a large space between the generator and pressure washer. These two machines are never running simultaneously. Been using this set up for months with no issues. Eventually I plan on running exhaust down through the floor and out the sides.

Right now anywhere from 400-1200 a week. I work at the fire station every 3rd day and detail on my off days. I expect it to pick up a bit now that I got the trailer wrapped.
