    Handling Rainy Days

How do you guys handle a situation where you have a car(s) scheduled in and it ends up raining that day or is going to rain right after the detail would be complete. Do you guys call and re-schedule or just business as usual? I have had a couple of cars that I called and re-scheduled but I feel like I might be throwing money away since sometimes I wouldnt be able to reach them again.

    Re: Handling Rainy Days

Different answers depending on your situation.

    1. Usually I do not cancel, unless it is a mobile job and I will be unable to do the detail because of the weather. I had to reschedule a job today because of 100 percent chance of storms this afternoon, it would have been physically impossible to do the job not to mention dangerous.

    2. If they want to cancel, let them call. Do not make the decision for them. Of course if you offer them a more favorable situation they will accept it.

    3. This is where having a garage/shop of some sort of to work out of during poor weather can be a life saver. If you are doing a mobile job and it rains, offer to do it pick up and delivery style instead with a slight discount for the weather.
