    Website

Has anybody ever heard of Wix.com. You can make a website and that is hosted for free.
Any feed back on them. Or other sites that do this.

    Re: Website

Never heard of them but it doesn't mean they aren't good.

    Build a Website - Squarespace

Is another website builder that allows you to build your site before putting in your credit card information so you basically get a free trial then if you decide you like what you made, you can buy their service.

Also, remember hosting is never free, it's all factored into whatever price you will be paying monthly or annually.

I use Free website | Free blog | Create a free website | Weebly for all my website needs. The hosting and domain name are renewed annually at just $50 a year. Good tools and very user friendly with no coding experience needed.

I have been working on a site using wix, and I'm close to 100% satisfied with how it looks. I want it as professional looking as possible without spending the pro price and wix gives you that kind of flexibility.

I tried weebly as well as a few others that have a free web builder with good templates but wix seems to be the most customizable. I think to publish your site without ads and a with a custom domain it's $8 a month

    Re: Website

I am pretty good with computers but I cannot code so I ended up using Squarespace myself. It has its pros and cons, its fairly easy to use, there are plenty of templates, good how to's and tech support.

On the flip side the site can be fickle, the templates can be frustrating sometimes because you want to move some or change the color and you can't figure out how. You can enter your own code but you need to the most expensive plan.

Overall I think its a good option for small businesses like ourselves. If you are starting out you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a gorgeous website but you don't want page from the 90's.

Check out my signature, that is done in squarespace.

    Re: Website

I built my site on wix. There's things I love and hate about it. They have a flash version (which I'm on) and an html5 version.

    Check my site out.

I'm debating on whether to convert to html5. It's free and somewhat easy from what I understand.

    Pros? Cons?

I like it, I don't see any problems with it.
