wow, like watching money run away.

well hello again to everyone here, i was in europe for the last month and just got home last night.

today i check my voicemail, a lady from a company called me (3 weeks ago) and said that her company will be having a car show on august 7, and they have 12, yes TWELVE chevy volts that need to be detailed and to call her back. i of course was 7,000 miles away, and forgot to change my voicemail greeting (to say that ill be gone for a month).

wow. there goes a profitable opportunity.

ill call her monday and apologize.

    ugh.

call her back today and do an all nighter!

that does suck seeing that she probably went elsewhere.

GM called me back in march to detail 12cars for a car show. I was on fl and they were going to stl. I stated I was in fl but would travel. I called them the morning that I was leaving to confirm we were still on. They said yes come on up. I told them stl is calling for a chance of rain they said don't worry we will take care of you. I got half way home and they called and canceled. I was livid! No that's money down the drain.

man, now that does suck!! I would be pissed too.. I wear pretty powerful hearing aids since my I am almost deaf. Sometimes I don't hear my phone cause of the generator and I don't feel the vibration in my pants (well the phone anyways)

Anyhow, the other day I had a missed call and a voicemail from a guy wanting to schedule a detail and I called him back when I saw the missed call. I called him back within 9 minutes of his call and he said he already found a detailer.. dang!!!!!!!

I guess it wasn't meant to happen. I just think maybe it was a good thing and that he had a minivan with dog/kid barf and rotten shrimp under the seat or something like that...

yup those are the ones. i dunno, she just said "were going to be attending a car show in your area and need 12 chevy volts to be cleaned and detailed."

its not even about the money. i just started out and getting a job like this would most definately get me more jobs in the future from word of mouth. oh well, ill call her monday and tell her ill give them a discount next time.

Why are you complaining? You were in Europe. Would you rather think about the money your are missing while your are in Europe?

    Just enjoy life man.

I would have threatened to sue them if they didn't reimburse your travel costs. That is BS!
