My Detail Trailer! Lots of pics
Well here it is......Finally I have a computer that works and I am learning to upload pictures and write reviews!
Enjoy!
First I started with a pace american 5x8 trailer with a side door and a swing rear door instead of a ramp, sorry about the blurry photo
The first order of business was to strip the flimsy interior panels and insulate with 1 inch thick foam board insulation (makes a big difference). Next I Replaced the useless interior panels and used 3/8th inch plywood so I could secure items to the walls. I had pictures but sadly my computer crashed and I lost them!!
Here is the (almost) finished product
Looking in from the rear door
Shelves, clipboard holder, air hose reel etc.
slide out shelves!
Side door looking in
looking in without the 2 bucket cart
Polisher holders, and shelves for products
Front of trailer looking back at the air compressor
The very front of the trailer (easily accessible from the side door)
I found PVC pipe makes great handle holders (cheap too!)
Hose reel, water pump, and water tank
You have to cram stuff everywhere....again PVC pipe makes a great foam gun holder!
I changed the standard 4 prong wiring harness with a 6 prong so when i connect the trailer lights the water pump is powered up as well, 12 volt interior LED lighting is going to be installed as well (eventually)
I had to find a way to secure the rear door to hold it in place so i devised this prop rod which is adjustable to 3 different positions
My hand trays and 2 bucket cart, the tray on the right is for wheel, tire, and wheel well cleaning. The middle tray is a trash can and all of my vacuum accessories. And the tray on the left is for tire inflation (do it as a courtesy) tire and wheel well dressing. And in the back is of coarse my 2 bucket cart.
I built all of these myself out of wood since i couldn't find anything that suited my needs from the stores.
I like to bring everything I need to do an assigned task to minimize trips back and forth the the trailer, so i grab one tray and it has all of my brushes, cleaners....etc. I need to build an interior tray as well, I just haven't had time
Shelves with the trays removed. additional storage for bottles, etc. where I could fit it.
side door looking rear
Another view
Secured for transport.
Hardest thing is finding storage for everything!
Close up of water pump.
Not pictured is my mytee HP60 extractor which is loaned out to a friend for a few days.
I hope you enjoy.....
Questions and comments welcome!

I love that setup, I am soooo jealous!! It looks like you built your own 2 bucket holder and all the other little caddys. Looks so PRO.
What do you use for a water pump? Is it a low pressure system?

Nice set up. I love the pvc pipe holters!!!! Also, Do you have a pop up tent to offer some shade (I didn't spot one.)

Yes I built everything, the pump is a sureflo on demand pump. I do not use a pressure washer

Yes there is a tent in there towards the front a 10x10 but i dont use it that much. I usually detail early and finish up by 11 am. I am going to get different pop up though since a 10x10 is not enough

Wow, that is gorgeous!
I love the whole setup and space utilization. It's very organized and everything is secured. It looks like a closet in a house!
Amazing. I love it. Did you use a CAD program to lay it out before building it?
