I swear I almost asked her if she was previously homeless because it looked like her and the dogs had lived in the Jeep for six months. It was as close as I've ever come to refusing a job. Because my first job also had scope creep and I just feel like dealing with it. I pushed through. She was super stoked when it was done.
May I ask what Scope Creep is?

Scope creep. When the scope of the job starts to creep up into a bigger job. When the customer calls you for a wash & wax and the job turns into a full paint correction after you get there. When the customer calls for a wash & wax and you end up vacuuming for 2 hours. I'm partially to blame because I refuse to just do what the customer wants if I believe their money would be better spent doing something else or something more.

    Hey Gary,

I clicked on your thread because I was curious to read it and then I edited your post and hit the [ENTER] key a few times to break up the one large chunk of text just so my eyes could track from one sentence to the other so I could "read" it.

    Hope you don't mind....

Good story, thanks for sharing. I hope this last detail will be the last time you see something this bad...

Beyond disgusting. Owner should be embarrassed to even ask you to clean that.

Re: I Have Finally Seen it All. ..... hopefully....

When I first started out I had a Dodge Caravan, you know the ones with the Stow and Go seats that fold into the floor. The lady had 3 kids and a dog and just got back from a road trip that lasted 2 weeks. It seriously looked like there was some sort of Taco Bell bean burrito explosion or fight to the death inside ever crack of every button. Talk about embarrassed. She had her husband pick the car up because I kept opening up compartments during the inspection only to find more food particles.
