On what paper to print invoice?

Hey I know this sounds stupid but I can't seem to find this. When I've been given invoices for like job done at my house it wasn't really standard paper, it felt a bit more ridgid.

Anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me find out what paper it is? I've tried searching but all I can find is carbon paper which isn't really what I'm looking for.

This is what I use. I bought it from Office Max.

any standard 8.5 x 11 96 bright 24 lb paper will do it.

But why pay the extra money for a paper that's just going to get tossed in the garbage?

You can get heavier weight paper, 24lb, 28lb, 32lb at Office Depot/Office Max, also various colors.

Well it looks more pro I guess but it's only 10$ for like 500 so it's not to expensive, comes down to 0.02$ each.

Paper invoices? Really? Why? And fancy paper invoices at that. It's 2018. Your invoicing should be linked to the customer's ability to make instant online payment. Intuit, Square, etc. We send an invoice and get paid before that paper is done coming out of the printer.

I can see both sides of the paper and paperless recommendations. For all my in person drop off customers, they do appreciate it when i give an extra effort to go over their car with them together. This allows them to let us know what their expectations are and what they would like to get done, and at the same time im making notes on the VIF. They will receive paperwork in an envelope upon dropping off keys. This makes them feel safer and more trusting to leave their baby behind to get cleaned.

As for business that have contracts with other companies, instant invoices is a must and without it theres no form of payment. Do whats required for your own business and make changes down the road if necessary.
