Re: How To: Clean & Coat Your Tires with DP Tire Coating

As you know Nick, I've really like the new dressing but have yet to use it in conjunction with the new cleaner. Someone short changed my testing kit but that's another matter. haha. Going to give the complete combo a try in the next few weeks and report but honestly, the dressing/coating is as good if not better than anything else I've tried using "non approved cleaners", so I can't wait to use it in the recommended fashion. Nice photos btw.

Question Re: How To: Clean & Coat Your Tires with DP Tire Coating

So I just bought this kit and I'm really looking forward to trying it out, on my wife's Mazda 6 for sure! I have a quick question for Nick or any of you who've use this w/ the brush. When you apply a strip of the product across the brush does it really cover the entire tire or do you need to apply a couple strips to cover the entire tire? For example, does one application strip do a 1/3 of the tire, thus needing 2 more strips across the brush?

I've never used a brush to apply tire dressings so this is new to me, thanks guys

I had to apply it a couple times to the brush per tire.

I put it on with the foam tire block and the brush to spread it.

First off, the tires look awesome!

If you wouldn't mind, take me through the steps of applying it, like how much you put on the foam applicator, how it spread and exactly how you used the brush applicator.

BTW, a nice little touch would be to have the bowtie done in red to match the Brembo on the caliper, painted or even easier, vinyl shop in town, just a thought

Re: How To: Clean & Coat Your Tires with DP Tire Coating

I cleaned the tire with the DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer.

Then use eraser wiped with a towel

Two drops on the foam tire applicator this is before the brush

then brush to smooth the high spots and get in to the textured area .

let dry 5 mins then repeated

Its look like I used 1 oz of product to coat all 4 tire two times.

I tried this way but it dipped through the brush. that why I used the Flex Foam Tire Applicator
