Best Wheel & Tire Brushes
First and foremost, let me briefly touch base on the must-have tools for proper wheel and tire care.

From left to right:

• Speed Master Wheel Brush

Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush
The Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush is a specially designed short-handle wheel brush that is designed to gently clean delicate wheel finishes. Featuring all-natural feathered boar’s hair bristles, the Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush removes dirt, grime and brake dust from intricate wheel designs. Use the Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush to safely clean clear coated, anodized, polished, aluminum, painted, powder coated and chrome wheels.

I agree with Nick, these are must have brushes when it comes to cleaning wheels and tires.

While I tend to machine scrub tires instead of hand scrubbing, if you are going to hand scrub the TUF Shine Tire Brush works really well. Having short, stiff bristles with a fairly small footprint makes it easy to use when scrubbing the sidewall of the tires.


Speedmaster Wheel Brush
The Speedmaster Wheel Brush is the next best thing to actually removing the wheels from a car to get behind them.


Wheel Woolie Wheel Brush
The Wheel Woolie Wheel Brush is now my favorite wheel brush as the bristles are a tick or two stiffer than the normal Montana Boar's Hair Brush but still soft and gentle to delicate wheel surfaces.


1 1/4" Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Detail Brush
The 1 1/4" Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Detail Brush is just as hand as its big brother for getting into the tight areas.


Must have tools


These tools will make cleaning any wheel faster. You'll be more effective at getting the wheels clean (because of the tools), and it makes the project easier. When it comes to cleaning wheels, you need all of these things working for you.

Nick, how would you compare this to Über wheel cleaner? So far it's one of my favorites, but I'm always open for something new!

If you like Uber Wheel Cleaner, you'll love Advanced Wheel Cleaner Concentrate; not only is the formula stronger, it can be diluted 1:3 with water, and it produces more of a "foam" that clings to the surface.

Thanks Ben! Advanced Wheel Cleaner Concentrate is NOT a tire cleaner, which is why I also used Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner Concentrate in conjunction with the wheel cleaner.

Used straight, will the APC overspray/drip stain non-coated wheel finishes when cleaning tires?

It's safe to assume that any cleaner will stain an uncoated wheel if allowed to dry on the surface.

With that being said, I've never had a problem with Signature All Purpose Cleaner Concentrate staining an uncoated wheel when used properly.

It won't remove a good wheel coating, but it will remove wheel waxes.
