I was like a block. It only sat for about a year or so. It took a lot of sunshine and a whole lot of shaking, but it eventually got back to a liquid like it should. Nothing better than some good ole aged Colonite

For those using 845 on glass how long do you leave it on for before wiping off ? Does it haze up like it does on paint so you know when to remove it ?

I use it on glass. It hazes up exactly like on paint. It's actually easier to see than on paint. I wipe it off at the same time as I wipe off the rest of the car. I don't use Collinite in sections like a lot of people do. I do the entire car, then wipe it off all at once. I use 845 and 476 this way.

Great write up! Thank you! I got a bottle last week from AG and used it for the first time on my personal car! Amazing! The shine is incredible! I live in Wisconsin so I will be layering this in fall in prep for the harsh winters! My new go to wax!

Loved the history on it in the write up too!!

Welcome! I'm also in Wisconsin and apply #845 to three of my dd's every fall. Affordable, easy to apply, and it protects throughout those harsh winters you mentioned. What's not to love!

I have found that the flip tops on some bottles of cleaners or other things happen to fit the Collinite bottles. We have a few clumsy crew on the boat I work on.Imagine what a mess 845 makes on a teak deck when spilled. I took the flip tops off of a cleaning product & they fit like they were made for it.

I got a bottle on the way. reading this thread is very helpful. Thanks to Nick! Knowing me I would have used much more than what is suggested if I didn't read this! Looking forward to trying it out. I got little 1oz bottles I used for eliquid, so maybe I use some of those. Since it seems like 2oz or less is enough to do a whole car. If I put some in two little bottles like that should be good! They are LDPE plastic. hopefully that works. :P

I do the entire car and then go around and wipe it off. So long as you apply it thin you'll be fine. If you apply it too thick it will be a little more difficult to remove.

Once done I tend to wipe it down with some detail spray to help remove any areas that I missed or are a bit stubborn. Overall I give it a 9/10 for ease of use.
