Re: How To Detail Your Brand New Car by Mike Phillips
Hey,
first of all thanks Mike for all the useful tips, i'm new to car detailing, so i got a newbie question..
I read "Iron X paint and wheels - Then re-wash to remove the Iron X residues off the paint and wheels."
"Re-wash" is intended as a full cleaning 2 bucket method or just a rinse please?
I mean, if so, why the best practice is to double wash the car (before using Iron remover and right after it), instead of using iron remover right before the first washing process?
That's because the first wash process can help the iron remover to work better, as your example about the 3 camps discussion on wheels, or what?
Hope my crappy english is understandable.
Thanks in advance for any kind of reply!

It’s fine to wash just once. You don’t want to dilute the iron remover so it’s best to spray on dry paint which you don’t have if you wash first. I’ve sprayed it on a dry and sort of dirty car then after dwelling rinse it completely, then wash normally, clay, rinse, dry. No issues doing that.
