Re: Static Electricity and Dust Attraction to your Car's Paint
Mike just wondering if this stuff helps with the static issue or is it just a gimmick. Let me know? Great article by the way. Check out the link.

Thanks for the compliment, especially since I'm really not the scientific type...
Water, wiped over the surface will temporarily remove a lot of the surface static charge.
Water of course is not a very good lubricant for a scratch-sensitive surface like your car's finish.
Spray detailers contain water, you can figure the rest out...
What about hosing the car down when it's covered with pollen? I know a lot of people hose dirty cars down before washing them. Is that going to cause swirls. I was thinking of hosing my car off before doing a rinseless wash.

Re: Static Electricity and Dust Attraction to your Car's Paint
I just used the Griot’s Garage Foaming Poly Gloss yesterday after washing my car and wife's car. The product claims to have "anti-static properties".
May its placebo effect but I didn't see any dust or pollen on either my car or wife's car this AM that is parked outside the garage. Usually I would. Will continue to observe.
