I have a really hard time to turn the car back over knowing I could have taken it a few steps further, but like it has already been stated that's what the customer has permitted me to do. I would love to hear and welcome any self help ideas to help me with my over achieving illness. I guess it comes down to Time Mgmt. + Money vs. Passion.
exactly I hate when that happens and its all the time. You want to help and do it right but its like I'm not getting paid for all this and I'll be doing every car for almost free then

Re: The Mindset of a Professional Detailer

A brand new detail shop opened up in my community the other day. This fixed location has had 3 previous "detailers" in that building.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I parked my Mustang in the parking lot of the strip mall across the way and walked over to take a look. What did I see?

Dirty terry towels, wool pads on old rotaries and two "kids" who don't have a clue as to what they are doing and "installing custom hologramming" a black BMW 3 series. Another employee was washing cars with a stiff brush.

Oh man, I hope that black Beemer owner doesn't discover these forums, buy a swirl finder light, shine it on his ride and require hospitalization for high blood pressure!

Before or after, it makes no difference. Those JB paints are so terrible, they look very bad, right out of the showroom. I always suggest to look at other colors. It is not worth it.
