How many sprays of the coating do you spray on a panel?
I believe I sprayed 3 - 5 sprays per panel.
Just a mist or two is good. It's clear and very "light" liquid that spreads easy. It also dries pretty quick so don't tackle too large of an area at once.

Can I trust that the coating was applied, or was it absorbed by the towel?
By the end I was more confident that the coating was being applied as the towel square was more saturated.
The PBL Diamomd Surface Coating does seem to go on invisible to me.
Do you think I need to go a little heavier on product?
Just a few mists is good. Practice makes perfect.
Mist some onto the windshield and spread - pay attention to how it disappears. You can see this on the CLEAR glass but the same thing is happening on paint.

Thanks Mike! I'm most definitely planning on getting some more practice on my own vehicles!

I think I’m going to give this process a try. I recently bought a 1st gen sequoia off the second owner and I think I will use it as a test platform. Although I will use Gyeon CanCoat instead of the PBL.

Mike, just a clarification for the BF 1 step. Do you do the entire vehicle and then return to where you started for wipe off? That's my usual practice with cleaner waxes/sealants.
For me that could be anywhere from 1-3 hours of "sit time" before wipeoff.

It is with BLACKFIRE One Step because it wipes of easiest after it's fully dried.
This is not true for all cleaner waxes/sealants. So case by case. I like leaving the car covered with the cleaner/sealant because it's a quick visual method to see where you've buffed and where you still need to work.

This Impala? I probably had 2-3 hours in just machine polishing after a thorough claying step. I detailed this about a year ago so it mostly needed freshening up.
