The FLEX BEAST, Supa BEAST & CBEAST - 8mm Gear-Driven Orbital Polishers

Googling and watching some YouTube videos on the 3401. After last weekend’s detail, I’d like to use a machine that doesn’t stall by simply polishing a vertical panel.

It could be my technique, but I tried various pressure, speed, angles, horizontal-vertical passes, even switched hands and the MaxShine 15mm (with washer mod) just stalls often. On horizontal surfaces, it’s very nice.

I upgraded to the Griots GG9 from the GG6 but it still stalls on complex curves. With that issue and the cord, I’ve decided I’m going to order a CBeast.

Make the move to a forced orbiting/rotation unit and you won't look back. You can simply concentrate on the correction and no have to worry about the machine or technique, etc. Just lean-in hard and let the machine go.

The FLEX BEAST, Supa BEAST & CBEAST - 8mm Gear-Driven Orbital Polishers

The cordless unit opens up a lot of mobile opportunities.
But the corded versions offer up some serious correction capabilities.

This is on my watchlist while I wait for stuff to arrive. Not five minutes ago I ordered a Supa BEAST and a pixie along with some other things to compliment my existing BEAST.

I just took a huge gamble ordering $1700 worth of tools and supplies before we’ve officially agreed to start a real detail department at my dealership.

It's on our YouTube channel now and also watchable from this thread. I liked this class, I hope I answered any confusion or questions about the three different versions with enough info to help others figure out which version is right for them.

Congratulations on taking this huge step. If there's anything I can do to help you start this detail department - just let me know.

Re: The FLEX BEAST, Supa BEAST & CBEAST - 8mm Gear-Driven Orbital Polishers

Cool video! I enjoy watching these with a bowl of popcorn!

I myself love the Beast and the CBeast. I couldn’t be without a forced rotation DA machine.

Soon will be adding the Supa Beast to my Flex family.

I’m glad you mentioned the backing plate is a wear item. A good way to tell is when edging, if the pad starts walking off the center of the backing plate. Then it’s time. You would also be surprised at the adhesion strength from a worn backing plate compared to a new one.

For anyone using these machines heavily, I highly suggest keeping a spare backing plate in stock.
    Jim
