Can you use the Griot's 3" DA to machine scrub tires with a Cyclo brush?

Back in 2013 a forum member asked me this question.

Can you use the Griot's 3" DA to machine scrub tires with a Cyclo brush?

I answered him but forgot where this question and answer was on the forum. I just now found it.

It seems well fitted for this job.

Yeah it seems to work just fine as you don't really need to push hard, just use light pressure and let the bristles do all the scrubbing. The problem though is I think it would tax the bearings and wear them out prematurely.

I'd stick with using the full size DA Polishers with the Cyclo Brushes.

    And just to comment,

The Griot's 3" DA is really too small and too weak for this type of work. If you want to machine scrub tires, get one of the options I show here,

    CRAAAZY

I was wondering about that thread (particularly, Cyclo brush) on my way to work this morning!! Literally, less than an hour ago!!!!

I have new tires on the wife's Kia, and thought I should get the brush to make life easier.

    Thanks Mike!!
