Short Neck vs Long Neck - The difference in length for RUPES BigFoot Nano iBrid

Short Neck vs Long Neck - The difference in length for RUPES BigFoot Nano iBrid

Most common question I see about the RUPES nano iBrid is

What is the difference in length between the short neck model and the long neck model?

    The answer is,

    About 2 inches

Here's a few pictures to give you a visual reference for the difference in length between these to RUPES mini polishers.

The primary advantage the long neck has over the short neck is it's REACH. With the extended reach of the longer neck you can REACH into tight areas to machine polish paint.

I have the long neck. I actually wish I would have bought the short. I think the short neck would be better suited for one hand use. You can definitely one hand the long neck, but it's obvious the short neck would be easier. I use mine on every detail and don't think I've ever used in where the short wouldn't have worked.

    Thanks for chiming in Dave...

I think the long neck is perceived to offer more benefit due to the longer reach but that could all be simply perception.

Plus most people think like this,

If a little is good... more is better

The only time I find the above to be true is when it comes to my truck's gas tank and my bank account.
